I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the continued political support of the “heartland” in terms of subsidies and trite mythologizing creates the seed for the kulturkampf and the root of everything that’s broken in modern America.
(I mainly just wanted a chance to write “Pennsyltuckey” … one of my favorite words.)
