I think we all know where this one is headed.

A “senior administration official” leaks to the press that Rove was knee-deep in the U.S. Attorney firings scandal. How long before the right-wing talking point on this becomes, “the ability to fire Attorneys was created by the Patriot Act. So clearly, the leaker needs to go to jail for violating national security!”

At least, that’s how they used to do it.
