It Sounds Like The Premise For A Robert Smigel Cartoon . . .

. . . but the only thing better would be if it was drawn by R. Crumb:
Among the unlikely superheroes to be introduced tomorrow at a comic book convention at the Javits Convention Center are a skateboarding cyborg who battles terrorism, three cutesy girls from the intergalactic military police and one high school student who is capable of shape-shifting. But those characters come across as rather two-dimensional when compared with a team called Seven, whose most substantial superpowers could be described as a sensitivity to astrology and a keen sense of fashion.
There is Hayden, a mildly clairvoyant woman from Switzerland, a Sagittarius, who likes to dress up in floaty goddess dresses from Jill Stuart. And Nassor, a Gemini bike messenger from Zimbabwe, in Rocawear. And have a look at José, the Aries: ever since he left his poor family in Venezuela and moved to New York, everything has come so easily — money, women, jobs, the wardrobe by Calvin Klein.
This squad of stylish do-gooders was created by Denise Wohl, who worked as a letterer at Marvel Comics in the late ’70s but is better known by her secret identity as a philanthropist who mingles with famous fashion designers.
“They are not mutants,” Ms. Wohl said from her Park Avenue apartment last week, referring to her superheroes. “They are extremely gifted individuals. They are masters in quantum physics.”

Obama staffs up, Detroit comes to DC and finally, Iraq and the US come to a security agreement.

“mildly clairvoyant”
We truly live in a world of diminished superhero expectations.
