Great piece on “Petraeus’s Guys” in the WaPo.

It’s rare that an article on Iraq gives me a glimmer of hope these days. Not just because I’m an elitist and I figure that there’s nothing that a group of well-intentioned Ph.D.’s can’t solve (although that’s certainly part of it), but because there seems to be a total, top-down re-thinking of the war effort. Unfortunately, the outside consensus is that it’s too little, too late.
