Sims Wants in on the Viaduct Conversation

Posted by Bruno on January 29th, 2007

Sidelined by Hizzoner and the Guv (I smell a sitcom title!), King County exec (and BATP Official Favorite Local Politician) Ron Sims gives us 49 reasons to relax about the viaduct. He says that transit and traffic improvements can save 35,000 trips/day (of the current 110,000) for pennies on the dollar.

Yup. Sims again shows why we like him so much. While Gregoire throws a tantrum and Nickels tries for a little o’ that Daly magic, Sims displays that rarest of qualities for an elected official here in the PacNor — leadership.

Sounds a bit like he’s actually shilling for Nickels here, but what the heck. Sims gets transit, and he gets how to manage the bureaucracy. Now if he only knew how to manage the state Dems, we’d all be in much better shape right now.
