A’ight. This damn horse is so freaking dead that subsequent beatings produce not so much as a trickle of new blood. Still, I can’t resist (yet another) chance to get in a dig against Bush and his damnable invasion.
According to ABC, Iraqi insurgents were caught planning an attack on the U.S.:
Mimicking the hijackers who executed the Sept. 11 attacks, insurgents reportedly tied to al Qaeda in Iraq considered using student visas to slip terrorists into the United States to orchestrate a new attack on American soil.
Most of us who opposed the war have been hard-pressed to find a single reason why this invasion made us safer from the terrorist attacks it was supposed to help thwart. Hence, the irony that Iraqi insurgents are attempting to target the U.S. Note to Bush — no Iraqi had an incentive to attack the U.S. proper until you decided you just couldn’t keep your pistols in your pants.
