Drudge Report as Tea Leaves

Following up on this idea, the Drudge headline today is interesting: “COMMUNIST GOOGLE: SEARCH GIANT AGREES TO CENSOR RESULTS IN CHINA.” With a big picture of Chinese soldiers that has nothing to do with anything.

What’s going on here? Well, Google’s been under fire recently for bucking the Bush Administration on access to its records. Google doesn’t want to hand over data to the Dept. of Justice willy-nilly. Google wants to portray themselves as fighters for privacy and independence. Google doesn’t want to be the Administration’s pawn.

In other words, Google must be immediately discredited.

They must be portrayed as hypocrites and opportunists who cave to market pressures but have no real moral compass.

And today the first of the Swift Boats took off for the Mekong Delta, with Matt Drudge in the driver’s seat (except, of course, Matt Drudge is WAY to chickens**t to actually pilot a swift boat in an actual war).

Am I being paranoid? Well, you know, it’s not paranoia if they’re actually watching you.
