Overheard in an airport last week, a a CNN newscast that could only have been written by David Spade:
“Scientists today announced they had successfully cloned a human … [cue music] USING EMBRYONIC STEMCELLS.”
It was 5:30 am CDT, I’d just gotten off the red-eye from Seattle, and I laughed out loud.
Forget for a second that the report was inaccurate (hey, it’s Headline News … at least the print version on CNN’s website correctly reports that this was first done a year ago). Could you possibly write a story that would tweak the Right in the nose more effectively?
May I’ll have to rethink my ban on watching the US version of Pravda.
