A friend of mine recently commented on the similarity between Bible study — specifically, the self-interpretive kind that leads people, for instance, to believe the Bible is pointing them to oil in Israel — and Star Wars fan fiction.
I’d like to do some kind of comparative study of this when I get a chance. Thoughts? Suggestions? Volunteers?
