Seeking a New Home

Posted by Matski on April 17th, 2005

Bruno and I are seeking a new home for our show. Our intention is to get back up broadcasting in early June.
The requirements for this home are:
* Progressive-friendly politics
* Cheap and tasty libations
* A stage or dias of some sort on which some basic audio equipment can be arranged
* Availability for broadcast on Tuesday [...]

First Principles

Posted by Matski on April 17th, 2005

I was having lunch today with a good friend of mine from college. He’s from Wisconsin, and was asking about the results of the WA state governors election.
My answer led me off on to a long tangent about Ron Sims, and about how the Democratic establishment in WA should’ve never let Gregoire [...]

Hey, wait a second…

Ok, before I go I have one more axe to grind. It seems the right-wing bloggers are in a tizzy about the Pulizer-prize winning photos that feature violence in Iraq.
Hold on there, kids! Remember this: the media likes only two things: sex and violence. And it goes boffo when the two collide, [...]

I am SO glad the Feds are [...]

Wow.

So let us be plain: the theoconservative vision would remove the right of individuals to decide their own fate in such cases, and would exclude the family from such a decision as well. Indeed, the law might even compel the family to provide care [...]

It’s Official: DeLay Goes Underground

Posted by Bruno on April 1st, 2005

I know we keep beating on Tom DeLay here at B&P, but it’s just so hard to resist the day-to-day antics of The Bugman. Here’s a gem from today, regarding the judges in the Schaivo case:
The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior, but not today.
That’s it! [...]
