It’s Official: DeLay Goes Underground

Posted by Bruno on April 1st, 2005

I know we keep beating on Tom DeLay here at B&P, but it’s just so hard to resist the day-to-day antics of The Bugman. Here’s a gem from today, regarding the judges in the Schaivo case:

The time will come for the men responsible for this to answer for their behavior, but not today.

That’s it! That’s what we’ve been waiting for. DeLay is now officially the Godfather of the GOP Mafia. After taking kickbacks from lobbyists, insisting that he’ll only meet with people who pay a tribute to his PAC, and running up extravagant travel bills in Europe, Capo DeLay has reached a new low: blatantly threating the judiciary.

One expects his next move to be something like, “My offer, Judge, is this: nothing. Including the fee for my indoor pool, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally.”

Don’t be surprised if these judges wake up with a horse’s head in their bed. A horse head, courtesy of the Congress’ resident horse’s ass.

As an Italian-American, I find DeLay’s blatant co-opting of Mafia tactics to be highly insulting! The man couldn’t find is way to a good marinara sauce even if he was raking in millions from the Prego lobby (which one suspects he is).

UPDATE: Have no fear, Sen. “Philandering Frank” Lautenberg is on the case
