Incidentally, sorry for the light posts… I’ve been slammed with a bunch of other things in my life. So of the $1.3 million medical malpractice settlement, $750,000 went into a trust for Terry? That leaves just under half of the total amount for their attorney, right? And we wonder why applications to law schools continue to skyrocket nationwide.
I would like to thank you for saying what I could not articulate myself. Every time I see this story on TV I visibly squirm in my seat.
I was under the obviously false ideal that quality of life was something that doctors think about when treating a patient. In fact I’ve seen doctors up morphine doses to “help” the process along. Not at my present employers, but with people I personally new who were in criticle moments of their care.
This issue is entirely political, in no way is compassion a sincere consideration in this event.
