Some funny stuff in the series of TIME magazine polls on indecency in TV. My favorite, though, comes in Poll #4. Apparently 49% of Americans think frontal nudity is “never suitable” on network TV. OK, that’s fine. but 49% also think it is suitable (the vast majority only after 10pm). Still.. that’s a lot, isn’t it?? Half of all Americans think it’s okay to show frontal nudity on TV after 10pm?? Wow.
On the appaling side, though, 45% think that homosexual kisses are “never suitable.” That’s sad. It’s almost twice the number of people who feel that way about “bare buttocks.” That’s right: 1 in 4 Americans would rather see Dennis Franz’s ass than see two men kiss. Ponder that for a moment.
