Desk Jockeys Hits the Deep End!

Posted by Bruno on October 8th, 2004

What to make of what’s going on over at Deskjockeys? This venerable blog, a long-standing B&P supporter, has gone off the deep end in the last week! First, we have chief jockey Scott’s surprise endorsement of John Kerry (carefully guised as a not-so-subtle jab at B&P and our ilk), followed by a series of somewhat incongrous posts blathering all sorts of pro-Kerry propaganda… It’s almost too much.

We here at the show commend the jump over to the, ahem, loony left, of course, but we had no idea just how loony it could get! We suspect that Scott has become enamored of his snazzy new blog, which has remained steadfastly apolitical. In the meantime, Deskjockeys, bereft of leadership, has come more or less unhinged — relegated to a bizarre, pro-Kerry endgame. It’s like a star going into supernova: It looks beautiful from a distance, but one can only imagine the destruction that’s going on at the surface.

So B&P fans, especially those with a hankering for New York, my hometown, point your browsers over to the Bridge & Tunnel Club Blog, and keep an eye out for the excellent new album, due out next year!

We can almost guarantee it’ll still be a fun read after the election, which is maybe more than we can say for ourselves.
