A campaign strategy, sealed with a kick in the ass and hope buried next to Jimmy Hoffa under a swimming pool in my home town

On Monday’s program, I asked our guest, the Stranger’s own Sandeep Kaushik, why Bush wouldn’t just adopt Kerry’s own Iraq strategy once the Democratic challenger announced it. This is a president, after all, who’s taken waffling and vacilation to Orwellian heights never before seen in this country … sometimes it’s like reading Kafka watching Bush call the untrue true, especially when he’s doing the backstroke.
Sandeep replied that he feels Bush’s own Iraq strategy is one of the few things that he simply cannot go back on, for risk of completely alienating his base.
Now for the New York Times’ response to Bush’s speech at the UN yesterday.
Props to Sandeep for his judgement on this. Bush still behaves like a stupid, spoiled little rich boy — he does not, and will not ever understand the need for international collaboration and a more nuanced Iraq policy. More’s the sadder that so many of our countrymen look to this SOB for leadership.
Now Playing: Episode 366
Obama staffs up, Detroit comes to DC and finally, Iraq and the US come to a security agreement.
