A Modest Proposal

Americans guilty of war crimes? GASP! Next you’ll try and tell me that Henry Kissinger perpetrated evils in Chile and elsewhere … oh. Wait.

Those of you who caught the show the other night know how strongly I feel about this. Bush, take your crocodile tears and your whining about how “unAmerican” these actions were (Americans committed these acts, therefore these acts are something Americans are capable of doing, therefore these acts are unfortunately all too American — point, set, match) and be a stand up guy for once in your life.

Want to REALLY make a point? Make your little lapdog FCC force every American broadcaster to preempt everything and cover the courts-marshall that will hopefully lock these sicko prison guards up for eternity+.

Every one of us Americans bears responsibility for these heinous crimes. And we deserve, nay, we have the RIGHT to be confronted nightly with the full burden of this responsibility. Let’s see what our little mid-East excursion hath wraught and see how we feel about it, eh?

While you’re at it, don’t pretend that your half-a** mea culpa on the barely watched American Arabic propaganda channel is going to cut it. You’re not going to win hearts and minds until you make the big leagues, the Fox News of the middle-East, al Jazeera. And last I heard they preempted you for a tape of Bin Laden ROTFLHAO.

And, Bush. Buddy? You’re in charge. You want to point fingers? Look in the mirror before you do it. Or maybe you just shouldn’t have spent so much time at the Kenny Lay School of Management and Obfustication.
